My story

Stig Ove

Born in 1984, and I am from a town in Northern Norway called Mo i Rana. I am from a good home with great parents, but despite of that I lived away from God most of my teenage years, until I was saved. When I was 17 years old I realised that I had to be saved. I reached a point where drinking, partying, violence and immorality made me empty on the inside. I noticed that all the things that the Bible and my brother talked about as sin, destroyed me. I became disgusted by my own behaviour, and I knew I had to be saved. I told my brother, and shortly after this he flew to Bodø where I lived at that time, and help me seek Jesus for the first time.

Afther that my life changed radically. I have since then had a continuous gratefulness to God’s grace, my brother and everyone else who prayed for me before I was saved.

Gud has truly touched me, changed me, broken me, rebuilded me, and put in me an enormous appetite for the supernatural.

I love God, therefore I off course also love all that He do. The prophetic, healings, miracles, the Power of God – to see that makes me so happy, it never gets old! God isn’t holding anything back, this is the most exciting way to live life. Each morning I have a holy expectation for what God wants to do.

My story

Linda

I am born in 1990 and raised in a Christian family in Oppdal, Norway. Ever since I was five years old, I have had a big hearth for orphans, and aspesically African children. You can read more about this here. I dream about building children homes, be a mother for the motherless, and show the love of God, not only in words, but in actions.

When I was 16 years old, I met Stig Ove. I moved to Tromsø where he lived, and we got married in 2008. We there after lived three years in Tromsø, where I got an education as Registered Practical Nurse, and we were involved in different ministries including evangelisation, discipleship, and youth work.

In 2011 we went to Heidi Baker’s Harvest School in Pemba, Mozambique. Ever since I first heard about Heidi Baker in 2008, I have felt a strong connection to her and her ministry. For a long period of time I started crying every time I saw her picture, or even heard her name! I felt that God drew me close to her ministry, and that everything she is doing is what is on my heart to do in Africa. The faith she has, and the way that she love the poorest of the poor are so admirable, and that’s why we want to connect with Iris Ministries. You can read more about her and her husband Rolland’s work at www.irisglobal.org.

The Harvest School lasted for three months. After that we moved to Stig’s hometown Mo i Rana, were I have worked in home care, and Stig in fulltime ministry. I have also given birth to our two children in Mo i Rana. Esther in May 2012, and Leo in October 2013. In May 2014 we moved down to Maputo, Mozambique to be longterm missionaries on an Iris Ministries base in Zimpeto. We will be here for one year to learn how to run a mission base and to serve Iris Ministries. After this year our plan is to move to Kenya to start our own mission base.
